A sneak peek at this year's Celebrity Big Brother house!

In just less than a week, roughly 12 celebrities will be entering the Big Brother house for what could be the last ever series. Unreality TV (and therefore me) got a sneak peek around the Celebrity Big Brother house today, and it's looking sweet!

Normally, the Celeb Big Brother house is a rehash of the house from the summer series. However, this year, the Big Brother house has been given a make-over just for the celebrities. We were there last year, and virtually the only part of the layout that's the same are the entrance stairs and even they've been given a dark makeover in keeping with the Dante's Inferno theme of this year's series.

The decor is fantastic - it's the kind of house you'd imagine Ozzy Osbourne would call a dream home: red and black living area, lots of velvet and leather. All the upholstery is decorated with skull and animal motifs, and there are goat and ram skulls adorning most of the living room walls. The production crew assured us that all of the animals were already dead - no livestock were murdered to help furnish the BB house!

The garden was conspicuously empty, and our guides claimed that there was a large installation to go in there at a later date. No clues as to what it is, but we're itching to find out! Elsewhere in the garden, there's a cosy little snug with leather chairs, fur throws and two massive heaters to create a warm, secluded area for the housemates to chat in away from the main living areas.

As for bedrooms, they were off-limits to us, either not completed or top-secret. The crew steadfastly refused to reveal if the beds matched the number of housemates or if there was one massive communal bedroom. There's no indication that celebrities might have to share beds somewhere along the line.

I'm not entirely convinced by the "Hell Lies in Others" strapline, or the "Abandon hope..." motifs, because after spending part of the morning freezing in Borehamwood, the BB living room was plush, warm and inviting. Notably, the coffee table in the living room has a 360 degree camera in the middle of it to capture anybody in the immediate area, which should be fun!

The kitchen is far more utilitarian and modern, but features various bugs and bodies in coloured liquid in jars. During a hunt through the cupboards, our intrepid reporter Lisa discovered tampons and other feminine hygiene products. In the kitchen? Ugh. Also, due to relaxed restrictions on what the celebrities can bring in this year, part of the store room has been given over to wardrobe space. Yes, they're improvising!

The bathroom area is quite plush as well, and it includes a rather spacious shower (minus cameras, but has got audio) and a bath for the exhibitionists.

Lisa has another great post over on Unreality TV about the all-new Big Brother house.
