GLEE REALITY SHOW ON THE WAY
GLEE bosses have confirmed plans to launch a TV talent contest to give aspiring stars the chance to win a role in the hit show.
The Glee Project has been in the works for months, but was previously reported to have been axed to let the series' writers concentrate on making the popular musical, which stars Lea Michele.
TV chiefs have now decided to go ahead with the spin-off show, which will see auditions held across the U.S. to find youngsters for the song and dance competition.
Open casting calls will take place next month (Dec10) in Chicago, Illinois and in Dallas, Texas in January (11), during which producers will be looking for singers, actors and dancers over the age of 18 who could convincingly play the role of a high school teenager.
A press release reveals the search is on for "talented young men and women with strong vocal, acting, dancing abilities and big personalities".
The show is due to air in June (11) on America's Oxygen network.
