'This Is It' - New Michael Jackson single to be released
Sony Music is planning to release a new Michael Jackson album and single titled 'This Is It.'
Entertainment Weekly reports that the single will be released on October 12th, two weeks prior to the movie of the same name - check out the trailer above. It will be followed by an album on October 26.
The compilation will include "previously unreleased versions" of Jackson songs and a poem named Planet Earth.
"Disc one will feature the original album masters of some of Michael's biggest hits arranged in the same sequence as they appear in the film," according to Sony.
"The disc ends with two versions of the never-released 'This Is It'. This song is featured in the film's closing sequence and includes backing vocals by Michael's brothers, the Jacksons."

Oh how I loved him!!!
Makes me weep that we will only be able to hear the past.
Such an awesome talent, no longer with us. His departing was so so sad. I have many favourites of his.. from 'Ben' a favourite when I was a kid, to more recent, 'Earth Song'.
A musician spreading a message through his music, he touched me when I was knee high to a grasshopper, so to speak :). And now, older and wiser.
and those previously unreleased versions?.. were those the ones he wasn't happy with? Would he want others listemimg? Who holds his copyright?Would he want that heard? He was happy with his final choices, we should respect that, but as an artist, maybe he doubted himself too much/or was too critical of his own music,.. previously unreleased versions.. I personnaly would feel very blessed to hear them. Coz I miss him.
Maybe he's got some other stuff recorded on his computer that he was playing with that should be heard too.
