Jennifer Hudson to sing 'One Shining Moment' for NCAA Basketball Championship

Jennifer Hudson has been asked to sing the anthem for the NCAA Basketball Championship on April the 5th.

The former American Idol contestant is the first female to record 'One Shining Moment' - the theme of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Men's Basketball National Championship.

Hudson enthused: "This is the biggest honor to be the first woman to record One Shining Moment. I am so excited to be singing such a great song behind the likes of Luther Vandross and Teddy Pendergrass.

"The song inspires you. It moves you. It motivates you and helps you reach that goal and that dream."
