Must Be The Music: Kyan performs Singing In The Rain
Cambridge boy Kyan has given up university to follow his dream of becoming a professional musician. And yet again, the Jamie 'Killjoy' Cullum is the one to suggest that Kyan really needs to bring his A game to succeed.
Fair play to Must Be The Music - this is what this show does best, discovering a songwriter who can create gorgeous pop tunes, play piano and sing with an amazing commercial voice. That's Kyan I'm talking about, by the way. His song Singing In The Rain is awesome, mature and well written. Potential hit written all over it.
Dizzee: I like it. It's quite mature, reminds me of a Gary Barlow song or something. Big, anthemic pop songs. Yes, man. Sharleen: This is the first time I've seen you play. You've got a beautiful voice, you play really well and I like the laziness, the kind of funkiness of the song. Jamie: Kyan, it's no secret I'm a big fan of you. I didn't like it as much as the first time I saw you. But there's no denying your voice. You're going to go on for a long time making music.
