Nadine Coyle: 'It was weird standing in Stephen Gately's place'
Nadine Coyle has revealed that she found it strange standing in Stephen Gately's place, when she recorded a tribute to him with Boyzone.
Gately passed away last year and tomorrow night ITV wll air Boyzone: A Tribute to Stephen Gately. The tribute show will feature a series of Boyzone performances and special one-off collaborations dedicated to Stephen, and a series of intimate VT’s telling the inspirational story of Stephen’s short life.
One of the performers will be Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle and she told The News Of The World:
"It was strange standing in his place. And the lads joked, 'Don't sing the song too good or Stephen will be cursing you from above.'"
The Irish singer also revealed that Stephen looked after her when she moved to London at 16. "He was like a big brother to me. He made me feel like everything was all right."
