SONG REVIEW:
We've sent these girls, a turkey and a trad group yet this is our third year in a row where we failed to gain any major success in the Eurovision Song Contest! Why is this? Many people had high hopes for Et Cetera, a campy, slightly New Wavey pop rock tune from Sinéad Mulvey and Black Daisy.
Well i can tell you why, sidelining lead singer Lesley-Ann of Black Daisy and handing lead vocals to Sinead Mulvey was a big mistake as this song comes across sounding something like a B*Witched track. Listen to some of Black Daisy's earlier stuff and you'll definitely hear a more snarling punk edge to their sound. And as Central European countries are sending sex filled acts to the competition we Irish shouldn't be afraid to show a bit more edge!

VIDEO REVIEW:
Well as its quite a campy song, quite a campy video has to go alongside it. The video emphasises our Oirishness with a talking segment where the Black Daisy girls wonder aloud where Sinéad Mulvey is who's supposed to show up for a practice session. As the band start playing we realise that reply Sinead has slept in! And the rest of the video shows Sinead frantically rushing for the practice session before performing with the girls.
Well obviously not that much in a hurry as she manages a few different costume changes before even finishing her breakfast just to show that Sinead is such a sophisticated fashionista and all that! Hey it's fun, campy and has a bit of good humour injected in it so ya cant really knock it! And at least they bothered to make a music video and promote the song unlike previous entrants!
