Twilight: New Moon new promo pictures

It was only a matter of time before New Moon promo pictures started trickling through, though these aren't quite what I expected. I expected more broody shots centring on Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, however, it is nice to be introduced to some of the new and supporting actors in the movie.

Dakota Fanning

I'm looking forward to seeing Dakota Fanning play evil vampire Jane?

What age is Fanning now? Is this the first film that will see her transition from child star into more grown up role!

According to Wikipedia, she's

According to Wikipedia, she's a meagre 15 years old, but it seems like she's been in stacks of movies. Although I haven't seen it, apparently she acted in quite a harrowing role a couple of years ago that featured child abuse or something. I read about, but had no desire to go and see it after that!

She's a good actress though, so she should be great in Twilight!

Gerard: Do you mean Hide and Seek?

Gerard: Do you mean Hide and Seek? It's not child abuse but it was kind of creepy. Robert De Niro was in it too. Worth a watch.

How kickass does Dakota Fanning look? Seriously. And she's such a sterling actor.

I was trying work out I knew the names Jamie Campbell Bower and Cameron Bright. JCB is going be playing Grindelwald in the Deathly Hallows movies. And Cameron Bright's been in a few things but was particularly creepy as the young!Evan in The Butterfly Effect. So it looks like they've picked some really aspiring young actors overall.

I'm not a Twi-hard, I wouldn't even call myself a fan. I've read the first three books and seen the Twilight movie, which I found underwhelming and sort of lulzy, but I know I probably will see New Moon as well - the first two thirds of the book aren't the most exciting, as I remember it it was all a bit interospective and lonely, but once they hit Rome and the pace picks up - it could make for some good action scenes.

If you say so - all I

If you say so - all I remember is reading reports about it, and feeling too creeped out to watch it!

I was interested in the end of your comment though - I still haven't sat down to read the Twilight books yet (stuck on Marisha Pessl's Special Topics in Calamity Physics), but they're next on my list. Well, that was until I heard that True Blood was based on a series of books too! Since that series is 20x more gritty and adult-themed, I'm really tempted to skip Twilight and move on to Sookie Stackhouse!

OHMYGOSH OHMYGOSH. I've read

OHMYGOSH OHMYGOSH.

I've read the first Sookie Stackhouse mystery and am on the second. I've seen half the first episode of the show and I've heard great things about it but it didn't seem as sexy as I'd hoped. I think also think one of the reasons I didn't stick with it was Anna Paquin as much as anything, she's not one of my favourite actresses. But I will persevere.

LOL - the scariest part of

LOL - the scariest part of one recent episode was seeing her boobs. I'm not joking - Sookie seemed so prudish and repressed and also Paquin still seems quite young to me, so it was a shock to see. It gets better for sexyparts later on - especially Jason Stackhouse, who has the potential to be hilarious!

The thing about The Sookie

The thing about The Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries is that the sex was always there laid-out, with Sookie and other secondary characters and, it's not like Twilight where it's all about sex but in a very supressed way, it's very overt and it's not always healthy for the characters (deadly at times, as you've probably seen in the show) but it's there.

The idea for a Twilight/High

The idea for a Twilight/High School Musical crossover just popped into my mind for some reason.

And also, what's the crudest way to describe vampire/human sex? "Giving her a good staking." was what came to mind the last time I watched True Blood.

High School Musical crossover

Haha, it's funny that you mention a crossover with High School Musical because I found a parody on YouTube that does just that! You can watch it here.
