X Factor: Danyl Johnson sings 'And I Am Telling You'

I cannot believe what I have just watched. First night of the X Factor live performances and one man , Danyl sang a huge song - a really difficult song  associated as a woman's ballad  ' And I am telling you ' and he was FANTASTIC . Best performance of the night and yet  none of the judges apart from his mentor really acknowledged  this . John and Edward did not do  too bad in comparison - says it all really!   Shame on Dannii , she has seriously gone down in my estimation  - how dare she refer to his sexuality on live tv. Why would she want to embaress him on  stage and television? Don't forget he is still new to this level of public interest. I felt her comment was absolutely shocking and I hope they take her off the show next year OR she apologises to him publicly next week.  Shame on  Cheryl and Louis for playing team games , 'you have not won it yet' comments . what about some praise for his performance before they slate him for being the favourite.  Is their intention to  knock his confidence to let their acts have a chance next week? What a shame that 3 judges ruined what was a really good show overall . The so called 'professionals'  let down the show tonight not the 'hopefuls'.

I agree with all your comments. I was SHOCKED by the 2 female judges tonight. Danyl was AMAZING and gave it his all tonight & Danni who justs slates him off like that? She should apologise for being so cruel to him! Cheryl & Danni are getting way to bitchy with there comments this year- I have to say some of the contestents ARE BETTER SINGERS THAN DANNI & CHERYL!!!!!!

Cheryl will not win this year FACT!!!  She is quaking in her little boots cos she doesnt have the strongest singers this year & she knows it!Simon & Danni have the best singers this year!!!

All judges except for Simon made bizarre personal agenda-laden comments on Danyl's brilliant performance.  It's sad to see their "about face" in light of the support they doled out and he deserved after singing the Beatle's song.  It was actually more than disappointing - it was pathetic. It seemed like a pre-arranged group attack.   However the bottom line is that Danyl will obviously get a recording contract out of his X-Factor efforts. And he definitely deserves it.   I've never seen Simon support someone as he's supported Danyl. 

Her comments were degrading and stupid.  She just signed her "B list" and beyond papers...pretty to look at, but talentless and stupid.  Hopefully her rewards will find her on has been reality TV that no one will watch.

i like cheryl and danni but couldnt believe what they said on saturday.  danyls performance was really professional as if he had been doing it for years (better than alexandra burkes) and they put him down and louis walsh as well i cant stand him he is just a dried up old gay! now im gay too so no nasty replies please im just saying he totally bases his comments etc on how much he fancies the guys.  he has probably made a pass at danyl and he wasnt interested so now he doesnt like him.  how can they say someone is overconfident on THE XFACTOR? they are always going on about being confident and talking confidence to the next level but when someone is already there they put them down.  its pathetic.

oh and lloyd to win cus he is gorgeous shame hes only 16!!! im 23 thats so depressing!
