X Factor Rock Week: Joe McElderry sings 'Don't Stop Believing'
Joe McElderry emerged on stage looking like he was trying so hard to be rocky and edgy. Unfortunately for him, he still looked heart meltingly cute and lovely.
I loved Joe's performance tonight and think it's hilarious that he managed to make a rock classic, sound like an easy listening number. This is why we like Joe – his voice miht not be ‘rock powerhouse’, but he commands the song and he’s lively enough on stage to carry it. Not sure about the dancers onstage with him, they’re a bit limp, but he did a good job on what might be his weakest week.
Dannii: I just have to say, your voice is exceptional and you are an absolute star. I loved to see you moving among the audience.
Louis: I didn’t think this was going to work, because it’s a rock anthem.
Simon: Whatever’s thrown at you, you do your best. It was a little bit limp and stage school in parts. The singing was excellent.

Jack the Ripper of Music
some one should really stop things like this from happening, he shouldn't be able to just get up on that stage and deface and murder that poor defenceless song in such a horiffic way.
are you happy now, i have another reason to add to my mile long list of "the many reasons why i hate x-factor".
fuck you Joe McElderry.
fuck you.
If you hate the show, why
If you hate the show, why watch? Sounds a little stupid to me! I grew up with Journey, so I would have to say I have loved and listened to them for over 30yrs. I think Joe did a great job, good vocals and tone to this young mans voice. He could sing anything and make it his own. Looking forward to Joe winning this competition and coming to the states. Will be taking my nieces to see him in concert!
