X Factor Semi Final 5th December 2009: Olly Murs 'We Can Work It Out'
Olly Murs chose 'We Can Work It Out' (The Stevie Wonder version) as his second song for tonight's X Factor semi final.
I found the whole thing a little strange and definitely not a conventional X Factor tune. The dancing was a little OTT in fact at one point I was sure he was having a fit of some sort and a bit desperate though the vocals were pretty good.
Olly didn't float my boat with this number but what did you think? Leave your comments below.
Louis: Another great performance. You have the likability factor and I like the fact that you didn’t choose a well known song.
Dannii: Always a good performance. I’m not sure that song showed your vocals off to their best ability.
Simon: This takes me back to the very first time we saw you – you’re the guy next door who dreamt of being a popstar and you thoroughly deserve to be in the final next week.

Much as it galls me to say
Much as it galls me to say it, because I don't like Olly much at all, this was a good performance. Well vocally it was. His dancing is frankly embarrassing. Like a drunk relative at a wedding reception.
I don't want him anywhere near the finals next week, but I'll give him fair dues - this was a good vocal.
