Fringe is a TV series that launched in 2008 and follows an odd team comprising an FBI agent, a mentally questionable scientist and his estranged son. The basic concept behind Fringe is similar to The X Files, with a team of investigators looking into unexplained phenomena, with the concept of a global experiment known as 'the pattern'.

Merlin is a fantasy retelling of the King Arthur story, imagining the relationship between a youthful Arthur and Merlin. As the title suggests, Merlin is the focus of the series, forced to keep his magical abilities a secret, and also tasked with preparing Arthur for his future as ruler of Camelot.

The series is produced by Shine Limited for BBC One and has been granted the family drama slot previously given to Doctor Who and Robin Hood. It began production in March 2008 and first aired on BBC One on 20 September 2008.

Ashes To Ashes is a BBC produced drama series that is a continuation of the cult TV hit, Life On Mars. In Ashes To Ashes, the central character is DI Alex Drake, a police psychologist who is familiar with the case of Sam Tyler and the world of Gene Hunt.
