It was reported in the sun today that Mr and Mrs Beckham, who are in England till the end of the month while David is training with Tottenham Hotspurs, have had two sonograms confirming that their fourth child, due in the summer, will be the little girl they have been long awaiting.
Victoria and David have made no secret of their longing to add a little girl to their family, consisting of three young boys, Brooklyn (11), Romeo (8) and Cruz (5), and have had three separate scans at just 16 weeks to find out whether they need to re-paint the blue nursery.
Whilst no scan is completely accurate, most can make an accurate prediction at 20 weeks, but Victoria, 36, had a scan near her family home, in Sawbridgeworth, Herts, in January, at the private Rivers Hospital, where Doctors were unable to establish the sex of her child as she was only just over 14 weeks pregnant.
She returned for a second ultra sound a fortnight later, at 16 weeks, where they were able to tell her that she was indeed expecting a little girl at last. Since then she has had a 4D scan (much more detailed) which confirmed (as much as it could) that the baby was a girl, and was healthy and progressing well.
As Victoria and David had said that this was their last child, we are sure they will be over the moon, although it is a bit disappointing they won’t now reach a full football team (can you imagine that!) trying to get a mini posh.
