Disney considering a Phineas & Ferb movie!

Parents and kids alike should enjoy this news – it seems Disney are planning to make a feature length Phineas & Ferb movie!

Phineas & Ferb is an outstandingly funny cartoon about two brothers who manage to make absurdly complex inventions in their back garden, which always mysteriously disappear just before their sister has a chance to rat them out. Each episode usually features their pet platypus (a secret spy!) and his ongoing battles with the incredibly dumb evil doctor Doofenschmirtz!

It looks like the series has come a long way from the version that’s currently airing in the UK though:

The series premiered on the channel three years ago as a 2D animated comedy and branched in December into a live action/animation talk show, Take Two with Phineas and Ferb, on which the characters interview celebs including Taylor Swift, Jack Black, Neil Patrick Harris, Seth Rogan and Emma Roberts. A Phineas and Ferb full-length made-for-TV movie, Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension, is slated to air on Disney Channel next summer.

The announcement about the movie was made earlier today by Disney Channel’s Worldwide chief, Gary Marsh. Apparently it’ll be a mix of live action and animation and it’s currently in the early stages of development.
