According to an article in The Mirror, Nadine Coyle’s debut single Insatiable is flopping. Despite a media assault to launch the video for the single, and Insatiable being available in Tesco stores nationwide. it looks like the British public have responded to her exciting solo career with a resounding ‘Meh…’

But then, she’s not a judge on the biggest reality TV show in the country, is she?

The reports vary slightly, but it looks like Nadine has only sold 117 to 150 physical copies of the single. Depending on which report you read. Likewise, reports vary in exactly how low her chart position may be – The Mirror say #35, but Radio 1’s Newsbeat are slightly more optimistic with a #26 midweek position.

All of this is made more embarrassing by the fact that Nadine’s bandmate/rival Cheryl Cole is riding the #1 spot on the chart at this precise moment.

At the same time, we’re seeing both Nadine and Cheryl claiming that there is no animosity between them, and Girls Aloud aren’t splitting up. And perhaps for Nadine that might be a blessing in disguise. One thing’s for sure, though – despite denying all the rumours about everybody hating Nadine in Girls Aloud, no-one from the group’s actually come out in support of her. She certainly hasn’t had the magic X Factor guest slot, nor did Insatiable manage to make the Radio 1 playlist, which won’t have helped sales.

Now, anyone for humble pie? What about you Nadine?
