Maybe Joe has got it right this time.  The former X-Factor winner and failed popstar could be on the right track in this new reality tv appearance.

Mentors Rolando Villazon and Katherine Jenkins both indicated that with some Royal Conservatory training, the boy could make something of himself. After his disasterous Ambitions album, let’s hope that he heeds the advice of his mentors and puts in the work this time.

I’m not saying that he is the next Pavarotti, but he certainly has the potential to become an excellent crossover classical artist….and for heaven’s sake, someone hook him up with David Foster this time!  David Foster (a fellow Canadian from Vancouver) is the music producer/writer who discovered the likes of Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and Michael Buble.

Besides his obvious talent with this music genre, I believe McElderry has an untapped fan base….age 30+ women!!  Think about it!  He’s a good-looking clean-cut young man with a classically good voice who can sing dreamy ballads. Look how well Josh Groban has done worldwide.

p.s. Today (July 1st) is Canada’s 144th Birthday and we get to celebrate it with those 2 British superstars, the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge!!!
