John Simm to return as The Master for Doctor Who finale?
Word has it that John Simm may return as The Doctor's arch-nemesis, The Master in the fourth of the Doctor Who specials this year.
This'll no doubt start the Who rumour mill going into overdrive as fans start to ask how David Tennant's Doctor will meet his end. Will we finally find out if The Master survived that fatal bullet he took from his wife? My bets are on the ring that fell from his funeral pyre being another chameleon device that contained his essence ready to be transferred to another body.
And to throw further fuel on the fire, there's talk that Tennant will be surrounded by all his companions when the orange fire starts shooting out of his sleeves and his face morphs into Matt Smith's. That means Rose Tyler, Martha Jones and Donna Noble will all be present to see him on his last TARDIS journey.
According to The Sun, the trio will join forces to take on the Doctor's arch-enemy The Master, once again played by the brilliant John Simm (Life On Mars). This is the episode that will see David Tennant's Time Lord regenerate into the new Doctor who will be played by Matt Smith. A source said: "This will be the most exciting episode Doctor Who have ever done. We really wanted to get all the companions back on board as a fitting send-off to David. And of all the enemies for him to face in his final episode it makes sense for The Master to be the main one. Getting Billie to agree is a real coup, but she loved working on the show so much it didn't take much convincing."
Right, all bets are on a return of Jack Harkness then, the only other character to be nearby for both The Doctor's current regenerations: the Eccleston to Tennant transformation and the semi-regeneration that resulted in a clone of The Doctor who ended up as Rose Tyler's boy toy in an alternate universe.
To be honest, I'd rather they didn't bend the universe out of shape just to bring back the three companions. Martha Jones, maybe. Just to ease the transition. But no more Rose and her new accent. And why drag Donna back into it after going to all the bother of wiping her mind?

Dr.Who
Good point about Donna - I'd forgotten that. Can't wait to see it back but don't want to see DT go!
Dear Santa, For Christmas
Dear Santa,
For Christmas I'd like the Master to kill Rose and for her never to come back. I promise I will be a good girl and do all my chores.
Thanks,
Priya.
you read my mind.
you read my mind.
PLEASE, I'D EVEN JUST HAVE SOPPY MARTHA THAN IN SERIES FINALE!!!
So... Russell T wants to do another Journeys End? All companions, one gets to jabber away when all the others do nothing? Here's the plan, 1 companion (but absolutely not Rose), Gramps and the 10th Doctor (with maybe and old one!) vs The Master (John Simm version though, not dead, 'Heh-heh-heh'-ing Anthony Ainley). If Donna as companion, do some clever thingy, and don't let Matt 'too young' Smith take over!
Toby Weinel
again????
it is a gud idea 2 bring all da companions bk, rose was my favourite, but they shud leave er in da parralel world were she belongs, because 4 me, her story ended in the last episode of series 4, n wot was da point on wiping donnas mind only 2 bring her bk a year later, russel t davies keeps opening closed doors n contradicting himself, thank god e is going
how can you honestly say that
how can you honestly say that about russell t davies, the man is an absolute genius...and we were told there was no way for Rose to get back, yet she did...it is called science fiction......i'm surprised you aren't goin on about the characters being unrealistic....get a grip
'Too young'
What you are implying, is that he will make a bad doctor because of his age?
you may find it sad that Mr Smith is 'too young' to take on the role.
But what I, personally, find sad is that a person can judge a persons acting ability/effectiveness of a portrayal of a role, on the grounds of how young they are.
If a 16 year old boy was cast as the doctor, I would not judge him based on his age, i would judge him based on how he acts the role. I have seen photos of Matt smiths doctor in costume and on set, and I believe he will be fantastic, but that is just my personal prediction
it is a gud idea 2 bring all

Journey's End, Again?
I think I agree with the comment about Journey's End - we're tired of Rose Tyler now. It would be good to see all the companions back to see Tennant off, but in terms of storyline, it's a bad decision.
For one thing, if Rose is returning, what's happening to her Doctor-clone Boy Toy? Will he return or couldn't he get time off from working in the local supermarket? And as for Donna, her mind is wiped. Leave it alone.
I'm glad Grandpa Wilf is tagging along for one of the new episodes, but I'd rather they tried not to make this a big 'end of an era' type ending to commemorate Davies and Tennant's departures and just gave good stories.
Doctor WOOOOOOOOOOO!
Even though i am not happy about David Tennant leaving Doctor Who, im ready to see how Matt Smith gets on. Also i would love for the Master to come back and to have all of the doctors companions (Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, Captain Jack Harkness and Sarah Jane Smith) to be there with him when he regenerates. And i have heard that in the episode where the master got shot and the hand picked up his reing, that was rose tyler, apparently. What the hell is up with that?
Doctor Who Finale-Rumors
Oh god Rose again, God cant she stay gone.
Wouldn't it cause a paradox if Rose saw the Doctor Regenerte?
because when she saw 9-10 she was shocked and had no idea what just happened but if she saw it before that means she wouldn't really be shocked when she teams up with him then shes sees him regenerate.
And if all the compaions are back its going to cause a paradox
coz sadly people this episode is based in 2005(Right before the 9th Doctor meet Rose)
so Unless Donna(the Donna we know),Martha or Sarah Jane Smith went back in time with the doctor they wont be in this episode/s.
Also Jack is the only one with a chance to be in it due to his vortex manipulartor.
Donna and her family(Back in 2005) are rumored to be in this episode
So its down to the ulitmate climax
Doctor,Rose(2005), Donna and her fAmily(2005) Vs The Master.
Who will win?....The Doctor?
Then a Rengeration into Matt Smith
The master wont kill the 10th doctor unless.....
The master was the "thing" that stole the voices in the episode "midnight"
1. We never found out what/who that thing was
2.The "thing" knocked 4 times (then the dsound of drums are 4 knocks so.....)
3.When the doctor is told to be careful and that "his song is ending " if you listen you get the same creepy music cue "DUM DUM DUM dum dum dum...DUM DUM DUM dum dum dum" that we got thoughout the mightnight episode .
4.The thing is refered to as a "he" in midnight, as well as the doctor was told "he will knock four times" in planet of the dead
Im in no doubt its the same being we saw in midnight and i dont ever really remember the master being described as " making people fight thats what he does"....i dunno...maybe the master is to throw us off the scent but....
... yeah i could have just listed all the reasons why it IS the master but seeing how sacred the doctor was in that midnight episode it would be far better if this is something else ..something worse ...something FAR worse .
Oh, I like you Greyfox-x, I
Oh, I like you Greyfox-x, I like you a lot. Please stay.
And I have nothing productive to add to this comment strand.
Really....
lol.... its nice to be liked :)
well i hope that means that you agree with me , im gblad somebody finally does, i mean its not like ive said its NOT the master just that i dont want it to be and hat theres so much to link it to the midnight episode and that people have totally forgotten this .
Thanks for reading my post !!!
right we should have jack
right
we should have jack martha +sarah jane and luke(from sja) in it not donna shes had her memorie wiped or rose she stuck in the parralel world definetly jack maybe micky?
do you agree
ps good point about the drums and midnight
I Think That It Was The
I Think That It Was The Biggest Misstake Ever Letting David Tennant Go And I For One Will Not Be At All Happy When He Regenerates It The Be The Most Painfull Thing I Have Ever Watched But I supose We've All Gotta Give Thong Matt Smith Guy A Chance I Mean Ok He Might Not Be Half As Good As Playing The Role As David Tennant Is But He Might Be Alright <b> If We Hope <b>
the master
I personally am very glad they are bringing the amazing John Simm back as the master, he will bring some umph to the finale, and he and david tennant work well together.
As for the rose thing, from what i heard it is 2005 rose and the doctor (david i think not matt) says goodbye to her and that he loves her im not sure if thats true or not.
And Jack yey we all need a little Jack Harkness magic dont we? and after the torchwood finale i need to see jack, really im getting withdrawl symptoms :)
Bye Bye David we will miss you, you are the best doctor ever!!!
Matt Smith, ill give you a chance
Who picked up the Masters
Who picked up the Masters ring from the fire at the end of series 3????
