Okay, I completely misjudged this song on first reviewing it. I originally asked what’s the point in these guys when we have Slipknot and Linkin Park, shunning their rap metal for being bland and unoriginal. However, I never told you guys that I had only heard this song once while I was reviewing it. Well after listening to this song more afterwards I realised how wrong I was.

While it’s true these guys don’t sound (or look) much different from Slipknot, Hollywood Undead, their first single on this side of the Atlantic is violent, brash and ballsy, sampling Ozzy Osbourne’s Crazy Train on the synthesiser. Basically this song is in your face and best played loud and proud to really show you the impact it has. I promise I will never review a song or album again until I’ve listened to it more intently in future.

Hollywood ain’t what it used to be. Not more than a decade ago, the city resembled an open cesspool. Gangs ran the streets. Drive-bys were a regular occurrence. Hookers posted up on every corner. Drugs were everywhere. Tourists stayed away. However, in the last 10 years, it’s changed immensely. It’s now a World of plastic beauty and commercial malls and businesses.

The song might be crappy but the video is not! Well it is really! But basically Hollywood Undead are dragging up the Hollywood of old and smacking it right in front of our faces, showing us the hookers, the drugs, the violence. The band look like a product of Old Hollywood too, all wearing hockey masks. However, they do look like there aping Slipknot but kudos to them for making a dark and controversial video. To really get the impact this video has, you need to watch the explicit version elsewhere.
