Nadine Coyle has reportedly told friends that she will never perform with Girls Aloud again.
The 25 year old star was widely recognised as the best singer in the group, when they formed on the back of reality TV show Popstars The Rivals in 2001. However they took a break a year ago, to allow all members to pursue solo projects and since then things have soured between Nadine and her bandmates.
Coyle is currently preparing to release her debut solo album ‘Insatiable’ and insiders say that she has drawn a very definite line under her Girls Aloud past.
A source told The Sunday Mirror:
“Nadine’s moved on. She loved her time but feels lately things changed dramatically.
“She doesn’t intend to perform with them again and is openly telling pals she’s no longer part of the band. She talks about being with them in the past tense. It’s like a new chapter in her life is beginning – the future is her solo career.”
Despite her return to the UK, the source added that Nicole Roberts, Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding have failed to make contact with Nadine. He said:
“Nadine swears she’s tried to get in touch with them all but not heard anything back. They’ve grown apart. With the amount of animosity they have against her now it would be almost impossible for them to regroup. She has to make her solo career her priority.”
So is this the end of Girls Aloud, or can the band survive without the Irish beauty? We’d love to hear what you think…..leave your comments below.
