The last of Simon’s acts to take the stage on [[The X Factor 2010|X Factor]] tonight was One Direction, the boyband who are hotly tipped to take the competition. And they’re singing a song tonight that I totally didn’t expect – they’re singing Bonnie Tyler’s Total Eclipse Of The Heart.
And you thought they were going to sing Backstreet’s Back!
Loving the Twilight inspired makeup – very subtle. They’re slightly pale and their eyes are lined with red. Harry continues to have trouble containing his excitement onstage. He’s a very nervous fella.
The vocals are brilliant. And as loathe as I am to admit it, One Direction are really coming together as a boyband. The vocals are brilliant and the vibe is a total contrast to how uninteresting their fellow act Belle Amie are.
- Louis Walsh: Boys, when I heard you were going to do Total Eclipse Of The Heart, I thought why are they singing this song? It was absolutely right. And I love the whole Twilight vampire thing going on. You definitely gel as a band.
- Dannii Minogue: Like I said before, you are a boyband doing exactly what a boyband should do. I’m looking at you and I’m thinking the styling is even better than any other week. You make vampires hot.
- Cheryl Cole: It doesn’t matter where I go, everybody mentions One Direction. I think you’ve got a really long way to go in this competition.
- Simon Cowell: Guys, once again a great performance. What I really admire about you guys, you gotta remember you’re sisteen, seventeen years old. The way that you conducted yourselves don’t believe the hype, work hard, rehearse. Honestly, total pleasure working with you guys.
