Sheryl Crow spends a ‘Summer Day’ in the park for new music video

Adult contemporary singer Sheryl Crow has released the music video for her new single Summer Day, the first single to be taken from her forthcoming seventh studio album 100 Miles From Memphis.

This album sees something of a musical departure for Crow. She’s ditched her typical pop-rock, folk and country style for a for a more soulful sound. Thankfully Sheryl hasn’t lost the ability to write a sunny melody and Summer Day just oozes the feeling of laidback balmy evenings out in the back garden with a nice cool drink and a pair of sunglasses on. It really has such a relaxed warm feel to it and Sheryl has stayed true to that style by filming a simple yet effective performance video in a sunny park.

100 Miles From Memphis is an album that will have many cover tracks on it including Jackson 5’s I Want You Back and features from Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards, Justin Timberlake and Citizen Cope.
