Peter Shilton and his dance partner Erin Boag are the second couple to take the Strictly Come Dancing stage tonight. Shilton reminds us how many caps he got in his football career, and we instantly forget.
He and Erin are dancing the waltz tonight, and may I say he looks and moves like an undertaker. Stiff as a board. He’s going to get massacred by Bruno and Craig, isn’t he? The song they’re dancing to tonight is Take It To The Limit, which is The Eagles, isn’t it?
Alesha Dixon: You seemed so nervous, my love. It was a bit of a rocky start, but you made it through the dance. Bruno Tolioni: It was very wobbly. It’s like diving in the deep end. You’ve got to come back and do it much better. You’re not a performer, but your technique will improve. Craig Revel-Horwood: For me it was all a bit too cautious and careful. You had balance issues on the stop movements. And at the end you dropped Erin rather than it being a gorgeous… Len Goodman: It wasn’t quite premiere league, but for me it was an adequate standard for week 1. It lacked a bit of musicality, but I think that was nerves kicking in.
