When Dane Bowers and Alex Reid entered the Big Brother house, the tabloids were rife with speculation that they'd had a fist fight on New Year's Eve. There was even a very obvious bruise on Dane's forehead.

Isn't it ironic that those two ended up being the finalists in possibly the last ever Celebrity Big Brother?

Well, Davina has just announced that Alex Reid is the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2010! After her interview with Dane Bowers, Davina calls Alex out of the house. As he leaves, he quotes Vinnie Jones "It's been emotional." We're all gobsmacked at how quickly he turned around the public opinion of him. As Davina said, when he went into the house, he was resoundingly booed, now he's exiting the show as the winner and being cheered by the rowdy mob outside.

The best quote about Alex tonight was someone saying he had Mr Potato Head's ears (I think that was on 8 Out Of 10 Cats) and Dane saying that he was a "lovable prat". Congratulations, general public, you've gone and created a Peter Andre clone. Katie Price is going to be unbearable now.

Former popstar Dane Bowers is the second place finalist in 2010's Celebrity Big Brother. He only just lost out to this year's winner, Alex Reid, but exited the house to rapturous applause.

Dane's been a solid, quiet but popular contestant this year. He had earned the label of Mini Vinnie for keeping close to Vinnie Jones, who he correctly guessed was the front-runner for the first couple of weeks. I think Dane's success on the series comes from the fact that most of us assumed he was an arrogant git. Certainly, if he was an arrogant fella in his early days, there was no evidence of that in the last month.

Dane got on well with most of the contestants, except for a little spat with Lady Sovereign, and was quite close to Nicola Tappenden inside the house. The two shared some nice moments together, albeit in a thoroughly platonic way! And don't forget all the cooking that he did during his stay.

Oh, old Vinnie Jones isn't going to be happy about this. Davina announced that he'd finished in third place (not bad for someone who'd discredited himself so much). When he heard that he had to wait half an hour to come out, he instantly started grumbling about having to hang around, and what were they doing for the next 30 minutes anyway.

Well, airing an episode of 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Vinnie. That's much more important than your exit interview.

Vinnie Jones has been the resident alpha male in the Celebrity Big Brother this year. Despite quite a few strong males, Vinnie managed to maintain dominance in the house through a combination of being verbally intimidating and quite hard-looking too. Despite being an early favourite, Vinnie damaged his chances when he claimed that two of the people who "went up against" him had been evicted straight after. He also dented his 'man of the people' image when he talked about his wealth - Alex Reid picked up on this and mentioned it to him last week.

Vinnie's departure from the house leaves Alex Reid and Dane Bowers battling for the winner's position.

Straight on the heels of Stephanie Beacham's eviction, Basshunter (aka Jonas Altberg) is evicted from the Big Brother house in fourth place. He walks out looking suave in his tux and braces to fanatical cheering from the audience. As popular as he may have been, he didn't get the votes to be in the final three.

So far, my predictions for the order of eviction have been spot on - what about yours?

Jonas is best known for his obsession with Katia Ivanova and their short-lived romance in the house. He's also the one who's been the most naked in the house. Jonas describes his time in the house as "funny, hilarious, emotional" and says he's never laughed so much in his whole life.

Davina McCall probes him in his exit interview about said relationship with Katia, and shows him some video footage to back up her points. He claims to be completely over their relationship, and denies that he was in love, saying that being inside the house made his feelings more intense. The crowd respond badly to that statement.

On the live final of Celebrity Big Brother, actress and 80's superbitch Stephanie Beacham has been evicted in fifth place. As she walks out the front doors of the house to the Dynasty theme tune, she's met with massive cheers (and a few boos) from the audience.

We had just seen Stephanie and the other housemates sharing an intimate dinner where each gave a speech about their time on Celebrity Big Brother. Stephanie had acknowledged herself as a "stuck up cow" when she entered, but said she hadn't been teased and laughed so much since she was 10 years old.

Stephanie will be remembered for her terrible snoring, which disturbed the sleep of many housemates during her stay. Then there's the incident where she had to break a vase that Big Brother awarded to Ivana, and her getting caked on the head - twice - by Big Brother in the Diary Room!

In her exit interview, Davina McCall praises Stephanie for the most glamorous exit from the house they've ever had. On the last two days with the boys in the house, she says they mostly ignored her! We see her calling Big Brother "the best holiday I've had in years" as she gets pampered by the other housemates.

We're getting all excited about the Celebrity Big Brother live final tonight, but first, there's a bit of an update from Day 26.

Stephanie Beacham is talking about being the last woman in the house. She reckons that the guys would rather be able to just wander about in their underwear without having to worry about the one remaining female.

In the bedroom, the guys are bantering. Vinnie Jones is ribbing Dane Bowers about being a skinflint - "You're so tight, when you wake up you look under the bed to see if you've lost any sleep!" Brilliant line, Vinnie at least deserves a few votes for that quip.

At dinner, Big Brother pipes Sinatra's I Did It My Way into the house as the housemates began toasting each other and making some seemingly heartfelt speeches. Alex thanks Vinnie (and Stephen) for their straight-talking advice and Stephanie dabs a few tears from her eyes. Vinnie describes it as a "wonderful experience" and one that they'll learn from after they leave in ways they can't imagine now. Stephanie calls them all dear for being so teasing toward her - she describes herself as a "stuck up cow" when she entered the house and tells them all she's enjoyed herself enormously.

There'll definitely be a few weepy Big Brother fans tonight...

It seems like only yesterday those semi-famous celebs wandered into the Celebrity Big Brother Hell House. Bewildered, slightly frightened by the rowdy crowd outside, and unsure of where they stood on the scale of celebrity housemates, they soon formed bonds and the occassional division.

But now only five celebs remain: Soccer hard nut Vinnie Jones, loveable cage-fighting drag queen Alex Reid, slightly dull Dane Bowers, soap-bitch Stephanie Beacham and lanky Swedish popstar Jonas Altberg (aka Basshunter, aka Basshumper).

I thought I'd share my opinions of who should win. Bear in mind though, that most of the real fun characters have already been booted. Lady Sovereign and Stephen Baldwin may have been annoying, but they challenged the status quo. Many of the remaining housemates are still there because they flew under the radar.

Day 25 in the Celebrity Big Brother house, and the Tree Of Temptation blackmails Vinnie Jones into pretending to be emotional with the other housemates. The Tree wants him to claim thatthe housemates are better friends to him than people he's known for years. He refuses, despite the slippery enticements of the Tree. So, the Tree reverts to threats and warns that the housemates would face its wrath! I love that tree sooo much!

Vinnie reluctantly agrees - his task is to become weepy with emotion for his housemates, which should be the ultimate test for his acting abilities!

The first victim of Vinnie's love-in is Alex Reid - he warms up by saying that he had a flirtation with cross-dressing for a while. Alex gets all excited about having a buddy to talk about high-heels and handbags with - "I know! I mean, getting dressed up in women's clothes and enjoying it - does that make you a cross-dresser? Er, yes Alex, it does...

Finally, in the middle of lunch, Vinnie puts on his sullen, withdrawn face. Alex seems to notice he's being quieter. He asks them all if they were serious about keeping in touch, and after a minute, he gets up and walks into the bedroom. Alex chooses a bad moment to chide him for being soppy, and Nicola Tappenden gently tells him off for being insensitive.

Stalwart Big Brother presenter Davina McCall infiltrates the house dressed in Nicola's costume from earlier on. It takes Vinnie Jones all of 30 seconds to suss that it's not Nicola behind that chicken costume, and he tells the other housemates to be wary.

The resulting TV footage is the funniest and strangest thing I've seen on TV in years. It's a woman in a chicken suit wandering around the house pursued by various other farm animals. She seems to be slightly panicked by this turn of events, running from room to room trying to avoid the suspicious housemates.

If you switched over to Big Brother's Big Mouth, you'll have seen the male housemates trying to corall Davina - they were pushing her around and she was stumbling all over the place. Davina told Emma Griffiths on Big Mouth that Vinnie is every bit as intimidating dressed as a horse, and that they're trying their best to pull the hourse head off to reveal who she is.

Davina's gone to some lengths to disguise herself though - she's wearing Nicola's jewellry, and she removed her wedding ring. This was noted by the housemates, but Stephanie noted that whoever was inside the chicken suit had "masculine hands"!

Glamour model, professional WAG and yummy mummy Nicola Tappenden has been evicted from the Big Brother house - she's the seventh evictee of the series, following Ivana Trump earlier this evening.

Her eviction was done by stealth - Big Brother called her to the Diary Room and asked her if she was enjoying her stay in the house. When she agrees that she's enjoyed herself, Big Bro says "Tough, because it's about to come to an end!" She's pulled out via a side door in the Diary Room, to masive cheers from the audience.

She tells Davina that her eviction was a bit mean, and she got evicted before she got a chance to say goodbye to the other housemates. They show a stream of hilarious questions that Nicola asked during her time in the house - such as "Do you think Adam and Eve got married?"

Davina asks about Stephen, who called her 'evil'. Nicola describes him as sweet, but didn't appreciate his constant preaching. She calls him a "nob" when Davina reveals that Stephen nominated her twice.
