X Factor rock week: Rachel Adedeji- One

Rachel was back on form during her Big Band performance last week and tonight she has managed to stay on the top.

She looked amazing in her multi coloured mini dress and sleek haircut. I really liked the performance and her vocals were flawless. Rachel built the song up to a great climax, and her voice held strong the whole way through. Well done!

Louis: Incredible song choice. It was very emotional, soulful, the most emotional performance of the entire night.

Cheryl: That was a very clever song choice. You got to show the soul in your voice. I think your voice is my favourite of all the girls and you deliver every week.

Simon: Rachel, I liked the last third of the song, where I had a slight issue is that Dannii tried to turn you into her with the hair and the dress. I just felt that your whole look made the song a bit cabaret.

X Factor week 3: Rachel Adedeji – Proud Mary

Poor Rachel Adedeji deserves a break tonight. Two weeks in the bottom two is enough for anyone and if she ends up at the bottom tonight she is out. Simon Cowell doesn't do third chances. I'm not sure that 'Proud Mary' can be classed as a Big Band song but whatever works eh?

Rachel emerged onto the stage with a much more soft and girly look, obviously trying to appeal to a wider range of viewers. The dress was short for the boys and pink for the girls, she wasn't taking any chances.

After a subdued start to the song, Rachel burst into a much livelier version of the song, a real belter version! You already know I love Rachel, but this was brilliant – the staging was brilliant and the vocal was flawless. I can see why Michael Buble, Whitney Houston and Robbie Williams were so impressed. Loved her! Come on people – let’s see your votes for Rachel!!!

Is Dannii Minogue failing Rachel Adedeji?

Poor Rachel Adedeji. First two live shows and she's in the bottom two each time. That's got to be knocking her confidence big time, which makes me sad.

With X Factor, sometimes it's the artists that are edgy that get shafted. Because they're not mainstream, the audience doesn't connect to them easily. What's worse is that the show - mentors, choreographers, whoever makes the performance decisions - doesn't have the vision to package them correctly.

That's where Rachel is suffering. There she is, a young black woman with a sassy attitude (watch her on Xtra Factor to see what I mean), a slightly harder than Rihanna haircut and a powerful set of songpipes. And what is she being given to sing? Beyonce songs and tonight a U2 song, the soul-sucking With Or Without You.

X Factor: Rachel Adedeji sings 'If I Was A Boy'

Rachel Adedeji narrowly missed getting booted last week, perhaps mostly due to her horrible sequinned jumper that gave most of us nightmares during the week.

Her routine started a little strangely tonight. Lying flat on the stage can't be the most comfortable way to belt out a song. However, once she was vertical, she really attacked Beyonce's 'If I Was A Boy' but Simon Cowell was right, it wasn't the confidence boost that she needed this week.

Rachel has an amazing voice, but this track didn't showcase that enough. Rachel isn't Beyonce, not even close and she failed to shine tonight.

Cheryl – Bless you Rachel, it takes some guts to sing Beyonce, when you were in bottom two, you could have crumbled or come back fighting and you came out fighting

Simon- I liked it, I didn’t love it, it was too close to original, Dannii isn’t quite getting your personality out, I’m frustrated

X Factor judge's houses: Rachel Adedeji sings 'Nobody Knows'

I truly loved Rachel Adedeji on tonight's show. I love her unassuming nature and then how she just nails a song effortlessly. Even Kylie Minogue loved her!

Rachel may just be the dark house on this years X Factor series. Any thoughts?
