Take That bandmates help Mark Owen with drink problem
Disgraced Mark Owen has admitted that he turned to his old Take That pals for help with his alcohol dependancy.
Mark yesterday confessed to at least ten extra-marital affairs and claims that many of his issues in that area stem from a serious drink problem. His wife Emma has insisted that he enter rehab for the condition and Mark has asked seasoned rehaber Robbie for advice.
The Shine singer told The Sun:
I told the lads a few weeks ago that I am trying to deal with a drink problem. I spoke to Rob about it, too.
I've always tried not to involve anyone else, including the boys. Maybe the lads might have suspected sometimes. But they knew I was making the right moves to go forward and they respected that.
Me and Howard were up late in the studio and we were talking about me being drunk.
He was saying I do this thing with my head, where it sways around and he can't understand what I am saying. So they were all aware I got myself in a state. I admitted I had a drink problem I never knew I had.
I felt better after that. You want friends around you and friends close to you for help.

Robbie Williams proposes on radio show
Former Take That star Robbie Williams has 'proposed' to his girlfriend Ayda Field live on Australian radio.
Robbie was being interviewed on the 2DayFM breakfast show, when he proposed using a toy froggie ring.
Williams said: "Ayda Field, I love you so much. Do you mind being my betrothed for the end of time?"
Field responded: "I would love to be your betrothed 'til the end of time."
Later speaking to Key103, Williams said: "Pre-nuptials and all that business, I don't know what's going to happen, 'cos I don't know when we're going to get married, I don't know what we're going to do.
"I probably would [get a pre-nup]. I change with the wind and my feelings about everything change all the time. I don't want to be anywhere else, with anybody else forever right now, but you look at history and you look at what happens with people, and things change."
He added: "[It will be] a very, very quick service, probably be about three people there. Me, her and the priest and get it done, get it over with.
Robbie Williams - Bodies - Single Review
Let’s admit it, reviewing Robbie’s comeback single, Bodies, isn’t going to be easy. The die hard posse only want positive things written, but there’s something in the nation’s consciousness that wants this to be shit.
And we’ve even seen some large-scale fan mutinies lately - U2 and Green Day have been openly criticised for their latest studio efforts, so the music-buying public might not be at their most receptive to comeback attempts right now.
What impresses me about Bodies is that Robbie manages to mung together the promised Gregorian chants, string section, lurching electronica during the verses and gospel choirs. Over the top of this thick musical soup, Robbie raps about “Jesus really tried for me” and how “all we really wanted was to look good naked”. Trying to make sense of the lyrics is pointless, so don’t bother trying.
New Robbie Williams single 'Bodies' debuts tomorrow on Chris Moyles Show
After falling from the nation's favour, disappearing to America and developing what the tabloids called an 'obsession' with UFOs and aliens, Robbie Williams is due to debut his new single, Bodies on the Chris Moyles Show tomorrow morning.
Well, I reckon Moyles owes Robbie a favour. After all, he's done his level best to give Rob's former boyband Take That a leg up since they reformed.
I've always liked Robbie, he's not a serious as his Take That bandmates and has a more "two-fingers to the industry" attitude that I've always admired. OK, there are periods in his career that I'd rather ignore, like Swing When You're Winning, but when Robbie's on top form, he can be quite something.
Unfortunately, we haven't seen Robbie on top form arguably since his split with Guy Chambers, but I'm still interested to see what he's come up with. The Sun's Gordon Smart describes the single:
The chorus is hands in the air, singalong magic that made Robbie a stadium star.
Tiresome Robbie Williams / Take That reunion rumour surfaces again

It’s clearly a slow news day in Celeb-land, as The Sun and The Mirror both regurgitate Robbie Williams quotes from his visit to We Will Rock You the other night.
The Mirror reckon Robbie said he was definitely going to rejoin Take That (a dull rumour that’s been doing the rounds every month since 2005). However, while The Sun’s report agrees with this, it also says that he was dashing back to the studio to record with Mark Ronson.
Now, let’s imagine that you’ve been asked the same question for four years: “Any chance of you rejoining Take That, Rob?” Why not just nod your head and go along with it? “Yeah, yeah. Even though I’m clearly recording a solo album, I’d love nothing more than to hook up with Take That again.”
