Wayne Rooney scandal: Who is Jennifer Thompson?

Fresh allegations broke tonight in the Sunday tabloids that Wayne Rooney has been seeing a prostitute called Jennifer Thompson. It's not the first time Rooney has been caught out paying for sex, but who is the woman behind the story?

Jennifer Thompson has spoken to the News Of The World about her relationship with the footballer. It's said that Rooney got in contact with her via an agency in Manchester after she was recommended to him by a friend. According to sources, her fee was between £1,000 and £1,200 per night.

Rooney booked her under a fake name, but on their first meeting, she recognised him instantly. According to the Sunday Mirror, she was dropped by her agency when she started accepting bookings directly from him.

It's said that Jennifer - who's 21 and hails from Bolton - comes from a middle class family who live in a leafy suburb. A friend of Jennifer's told the Mirror:

New Wayne Rooney sex scandal emerges - romps with prostitutes revealed by tabloids

The Sunday Mirror is running a story claiming that footballer Wayne Rooney has been regularly seeing a prostitute called Jennifer Thompson. The paper alleges that Rooney was seeing Thompson even while his wife Coleen was pregnant with their son, and that he paid £1,000 per night for sex.

The papers claims say that Rooney slept with Thompson seven times in four months, and was less than guarded about their relationship - flaunting her in bars around Manchester. What's truly shocking is that this is a mirror of the 2004 story that the same paper ran, outing Rooney for sleeping with prostitutes. When the story broke last time, his relationship with Coleen weathered the storm, and in the intervening time, the couple married and had their first child.

KYLIE MINOGUE VOTED MOST INSPIRATIONAL BREAST CANCER CELEBRITY

Kylie Minogue has been voted the most inspirational breast cancer star in a recent online poll conducted by market-leading mastectomy-wear specialist, Amoena.

The star’s willingness to speak openly and honestly about her treatment, helping to raise awareness of breast cancer, propelled her to the top of the Amoena celebrity hotlist, which also included Linda McCartney, Olivia Newton John and Sally Whittaker.

Kylie also inspired many women to be more direct about their own fears, encouraging them to believe they would get through their ordeal.

As well as looking to celebrities for inspiration, many women said that support from family, friends and other women who had also been through breast cancer treatment, was the biggest motivator.

Says Rhoda White, Amoena’s marketing manager: “Undergoing a mastectomy can badly damage a woman’s body confidence and self-image, and celebrities like Kylie play a vital role in raising public awareness. But women also take great encouragement from seeing how well their peers cope with breast cancer.”

To prove the point, Amoena has used breast-operated women to model lingerie and swimwear in its latest marketing campaign: “We hope they will show other women just how good they can look after breast surgery,” says Rhoda.

Who is the Ultimate Housemate?

In the Ultimate Big Brother is: Nadia Almada, Nikki Grahame, 'Nasty' Nick Bateman, Ulrika Jonasson, Chantelle Houghton, Samuel Preston, Makosi Musambasi and Brian Dowling. Josie and Coolio have walked, John McCririck was evicted to his delight. All we could possibly need now is Nikki and her tantrums to top the whole thing off!! Jade Goody is definitly the Ultimate Housemate!

Even though Jade Goody is dead, she is still the Ultimate Housemate by far! She only went into the BB House for a bit of fun, to have a good time and see if her life could get any better then it already was. A lot of people have hated her for so many years and even some of her fans have hated her because of what she had become. But personally I think she had a really lovely, bubbly personality. I mean, come on at least give her a break! She's had so many bloody ups and downs in her life especially when she found she was dying due to Terminal Cancer! I was extremely shocked and felt sorry for her! I mean, poor Jade. How hard must that have been for her, especially when she had to tell her 2 sons, Bobby and Freddy that their mummy was dying slowly?! I was devestated when I finally found out by the cover of the newspaper that Jade Goody had been put to rest on Mother's Day. Well, like I said she IS definitly by far the best thing that had possibly happened to Big Brother and it's fans!

              R.I.P Jade Goody, you always will be a treasure to the world! xxxx

Justin bieber shouldn't be on Americas Sexiest Men alive list.

Today, i happened to have settled down for lunch, and caught the 12pm Daily 10... If the world couldn't of been more obsessed with Justin Bieber, he's been named #7 on the Top 10 list of Sexiest "Men" alive.

Kristina Guerrerro, repeatedly used the term "Men" when talking about Justin Bieber. He isn't even of age, nor is he through puberty, so how on earth could he have made it to the "Sexiest Men List".

I don't think honestly at all, he should be their, pop here, and share your opinion.

Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres gone from Idol

The reality has set in for "American Idol" supporters that Simon Cowell is not anymore a part of the show. The real fear now is that everybody is abandoning ship. First, Ellen DeGeneres came forward with news that she is leaving behind the show. Now the Los Angeles Times reports that Kara DioGuardi has been given the boot. That leaves Randy Jackson and empty seats that may very well be filled by Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's Steven Tyler.

The 'American Idol' experience derailed

Clearly Fox, also as Nigel Lythgoe and also the "American Idol" production group, think you will find still ratings to be squeezed from the aging yet still popular program. Jennifer Lopez will allegedly bring the show muchos magicos as Kara DioGuardi's replacement, says Deadline.com. Coincidentally, Lopez began her career as a dancer, much like Paula Abdul. A return to Fox would reunite Lopez with the network that launched her dancing career on the early-1990s Wayans brothers' sketch comedy show "In Living Color".

'AI' is losing ground, but nevertheless popular

Sure, "Idol" is nevertheless one of the nation's more watched programs, but a decrease in viewership has not gone unnoticed by the show's producers. The Times indicates that there had been grumblings behind the scenes that Ellen DeGeneres should leave.

Robbie Williams

I, for one, cannot wait for the release of "In and Out Of Consciousness" by Robbie Williams.  I am a die hard fan of the great one who hails from Stoke on Trent.  I must admit that I did not appreciaste him as a member of TT and only tolerate Relight My Fire because it was number one in the charts in October 1993 when my daughter was born but I rate Everything Changes [probably because a rather young and silly boy called Rob sings lead vocals.  Since the release of Rock DJ when Rob had metaphorphasized into a very handsome and hunky man I have lusted after his tats, piercings and all parts of his anatomy - lol!  I have all CDs he has released and all DVDs and even have his capital R (in the shape of a camera/question mark) as a tattoo on my right breast and wear it with pride.

Keep up the good work Rob, dont let any cynic or nasty journalist win and get you down.  You have given me many years of ecstatic and some would argue orgasmic pleasure and I dont particularly want to see that go to nothing.

Kerry and Me: Kerry Katona hits rock bottom

Lynn Alleway is given exclusive assess to Kerry Katona's home for her documentary, Kerry and Me. She begins by trying to sell the programme as a look at waning celebrity: "Kerry Katona is at rock bottom. The only stories the newspapers want are negative. What life is like as a celebrity when no-one wants you anymore."

We're treated to a rehash of Katona's life for the last decade or so. Stuff that tabloid readers will already know by heart. Divorce from Brian McFadden, drink and drugs problems, horrible upbringing and that marriage to Mark Croft - a man universally reviled as a sponger and killer of Katona's career. Or is that Katona's Kareer?

I was expecting to see an insight into Katona that would bring on a degree of pity and empathy with her. But Alleway may be to Katona what Martin Bashir was to Michael Jackson.

Within minutes of starting, Kerry has admitted to Alleway that she's planning to dump Mark Croft. She gives some reasons that seem plausible, given the various news reports about him bleeding her dry, etc. But then Kerry talks at length about the hurt and pain her mother caused when she deliberately sold stories to the tabloids.

Helen Mirren poses nude for New York magazine

Helen Mirren's no stranger to getting her boobs out and generally flashing her flesh in her later years. And she's done it again. Posing for a photoshoot in New York magazine for photographer Juergen Teller.

To be honest, I'm full of admiration for Mirren for being so self confident to do this, but it's also a bit like discovering nude photos of your granny. You've never discovered nude photos of your granny? Oh...just me then.

However, the celebrity website Yeeeah describes the photos as having a voyeuristic quality to them:

The lighting is weird–it looks like a picture you or I would take.  It’s kind of like walking in on Nana as she’s bathing, which is all kinds of icky. Although walking in on Helen Mirren is a lot less icky than walking in on my Nana, who’s 300 pounds and wears a colostomy bag.

On the other hand, the Washington Post suggests that Mirren isn't blazing any kind of trail for the older generation. They note the relationship between the release of Mirren's new movie Love Ranch and the appearance of the photo spread. The thing is, if it's good enough for Kelly Brook (another Calendar Girl?), it's good enough for Dame Helen.
