Alexandra Burke
Alexandra Burke is a pop singer and was the winner of the 2008 series of The X Factor (UK TV Series). Born on 25th August 1988, Alexandra was in Cheryl Cole's under 25's category. She appeared on X Factor several years previously, but was excluded when her mentor Louis Walsh said she was too young to compete. She won the series after competing in the final with JLS and Northern Irish singer Eoghan Quigg.

Alexandra is widely tipped to make it to the final of the competition, and her week 5 performance was praised by Mariah Carey, who described it as "absolutely amazing". Alexandra is the daughter of former Soul II Soul singer Melissa Bell.

Pop Career
Burke went on to release her debut solo album Overcome on 19 October 2009. She had a #1 hit with her X factor winner's single Hallelujah and went on to release several singles from the album: Bad Boys, Broken Heels and All Night Long.
