Demons (TV Series)

Demons is a British TV series produced by Shine Priductions for ITV. The show centers around the character of Luke Rutherford, who discovers that he is the last living descendent of the Van Helsing family. With the help of his American godfather, Rupert Galvin and Mina Harker, he is taught how to fight demons, vampires and other supernatural creatures.

Cast and Characters

• Rupert Galvin (played by Philip Glenister) - Galvin is godfather to Luke, and his return to Britain is to tell Luke of his heritage and to coach him in 'smiting' demons.
• Luke Rutherford (Christian Cooke) - Luke is the last living descendent of the Van Helsing bloodline. After his father died, Luke was brought up by his mother alone, and is a college student until he discovers his destiny.
  
• Ruby (Holly Grainger) - Ruby is a close friend of Luke's and the only person outside of Galvin and Mina who know his secret. She's secretly in love with him, but hasn't told him.
• Mina Harker (Zoe Tapper) - Mina is part-vampire, and if her name is familiar to you, she's the wife of Jonathan Harker as seen in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Mina is blind, and relies on a second-sight, which helps her in her quest to fight demons. She assists Luke and Galvin in hunting down Demons.
• Father Simeon (Richard Wilson) - Simeon is a zombie priest who seems to have 'lived' for many centuries. In addition to helping Luke and Galvin battle a demon, he warns Luke that not everything is as it seems with Galvin.
