Kill 'Em All (Metallica album)
"Kill 'Em All" is the debut album from San Francisco thrash metal band Metallica. The band had originally planned to call it "Metal Up Your Ass" with an accompanying cover of a dagger rising out of a toilet bowl. However, after pressure from the record company, they agreed to change the title.

At the time of recording, the band line-up was:
- James Hetfield - Vocals/Rhythm Guitar
- Lars Ulrich - Drums
- Cliff Burton - Bass Guitar
- Kirk Hammett - Lead guitar
The album was released in July 1983, just prior to the departure of future Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine. Mustaine co-wrote four of the songs that eventually ended up on Kill 'Em All.
The style of the music was part of the emerging thrash metal subgenre. Kill 'Em All is generally considered to be one of the first ever thrash albums.
Singles released from the album were Whiplash, Jump In The Fire and Seek and Destroy.

In a 1988 reissue by Elektra, two bonus tracks were added: Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?" and "Blitzkrieg" by Blitzkrieg.
