Michelle Ryan
Michelle Ryan is a British actress who came to fame playing the part of Zoe Slater in EastEnders. After leaving EastEnders, she gained brief transatlantic success in the 2007 remake of Bionic Woman.
Biography
Michelle Ryan was born on 22 April 1984 in Enfield, Greater London. She joined a local theatre group at age 10, and was picked for a part in EastEnders in September 2000 at the age of 15. Since leaving EastEnders, Michelle has been involved in a variety of stage and screen projects.
She auditioned to replace Billie Piper in Doctor Who, a role which eventually went to Freema Agyeman.
Her post-EastEnders career improved in 2007 with an appearance in an adaptation of Mansfield Park and in the movie I Want Candy, with Carmen Electra and Mackenzie Crook. She won the role of Jaime Sommers in the NBC remake of Bionic Woman, which began airing in the United State in September 2007.
Ryan also starred alongside James Nesbitt in the BBC drama Jekyll, which aired on 16 June 2007. She has also been cast as Nimueh in the BBC One drama, Merlin
