Matthew James Morrison is an American actor best known for his role as teacher Will Schuester in the musical comedy drama, Glee. Morrison has also acted in a number of Broadway and Off-Broadway productions.

Biography

1978 - Born Matthew James Morrison on 30 October 1978 in Fort Ord, California.

1999 - First television appearance in an episode of Sex And The City, credited as "Young Busboy".

2001 - Joins boyband LMNT (pronounced element), but leaves before the band produced its first album. Morrison later describes the experience as "the worst year of my life."

Paul Wesley, also known as Paul Wasilewski, is an American actor of Polish descent. He is best known for playing the character of Stefan Salvatore, one of the lead characters in the CW drama series The Vampire Diaries.

1982 - Born Paul Thomas Wasilewski on 23 July 1982 to parents Agnieszka and Thomas Wasilewski.

1999 - Makes his television debut in Another World before becoming a regular character in Guiding Light.

2000 - Graduated from Lakewood Prep School in Howell, New Jersey. Spent one semester at Rutgers University before quitting to concentrate full-time on acting.

William Hartnell is best known for being the first actor to portray Doctor Who when the series launched in 1963. He was born on 8 January 1908 and died on 23 April 1975.

Biography

Hartnell was born on 8 January 1908 in St Pancras, London, the only son of Lucy Hartnell. Hartnell's mother was unmarried, which was the cause of some embarrassment to the actor, and he made numerous unsuccessful attempts to discover the identity of his father.

After training as a jockey and a boxer, he attended the Italia Conti Academy and began working on stage in 1924.

Bradley James is a British actor best known for his role as Prince Arthur in the BBC fantasy drama series, Merlin. He was born on 11 October 1984 and aspired to be either a footballer or an actor when he grew up.

He trained at Drama Center London before getting his break in the industry.

Bradley made his television debut in an episode of Lewis in 2008. He also played the part of Ben Davies in the BBC Three drama Dis/Connected.

Merlin

His character in Merlin is the young Prince Arthur Pendargon, later to become the legendary King Arthur. Bradley's role sees him rebelling against his father's (King Uther, played by Anthony Head) absolutist rule and developing his own moral values, which one assumes will serve as the foundations of the mythical Camelot.

Colin Morgan is an actor from Armagh in Northern Ireland, best known for his portrayal of the wizard Merlin in the BBC One fantasy drama Merlin.

Morgan was born on 1 January 1986 and educated at Belfast Institute of Further & Higher Education where he gained a National Diploma in Performing Arts in 2004. He went on to graduate from the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2007.

His television career includes roles in The Catherine Tate Show and an appearance in the Doctor Who episode, Midnight in 2008. He went on to win the role of the title character in the BBC One fantasy adventure series Merlin, which is currently airing its second series.

Joseph Fiennes is an English actor best known for his role as William Shakespeare in the movie Shakespeare In Love. He is currently starring in the lead role as Mark Benford in the ABC series FlashForward.

Biography

Joseph Fiennes was born on 27 May 1970 in Salisbury, Wiltshire. His family lived a somewhat itinerant lifestyle, moving around the British Isles some 14 times during his childhood, including a brief stay in West Cork in Ireland.

He was born the youngest of six siblings, and is the fraternal twin of brother Jacob. The Fiennes family are deeply involved in the arts - brother Ralph is also a renouned actor, sisters Sophie and Martha are film makers, and his brother Magnus is a composer.

Russell Tovey is a British actor who started his career as a child actor, but has become more well-known in the period since 2004 with roles in Messiah, Doctor Who and Ashes to Ashes. He is also notable for his role as George Sands in the BBC Three drama series, Being Human.

Biography

Tovey was born in Essex on 14 November 1981 and educated at Shenfield High School where he studied drama.

He worked in theatre, most notably for his role as Rudge in The History Boys and playing the role in radio and movie adaptations. Other theatrical roles played by Tovey include His Dark Materials, His Girl Friday and Henry V.

In television work, Tovey has appeared in Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive and has made guest appearance in Gavin And Stacey and a Doctor Who special, Voyage Of The Damned. It was rumoured that Tovey was a contender to replace David Tennant as The Doctor at the recommendation of Russell T Davies. The role eventually went to Matt Smith.

Most recently, Tovey has appeared on screen as George Sands, a werewolf in the BBC Three drama, Being Human.

Aidan Turner is an Irish actor best known for his portrayal of the vampire Mitchell in BBC Three's drama series, Being Human.

Biography

Turner was born in Ireland on 19 June 1983. He is a graduate of the Gaiety School of Acting (graduating in 2004). Since 2007, he has appeared in episodes of The Tudors, Matterhorn, The Clinic and Being Human.

He is currently filming the leading role of Rosetti in the new mini-series Desperate Romantics which will air on BBC2 later this year.

Christian Cooke is a British actor known for his roles in a number of television drama series. He is best known for playing Luke Kirkwall in ITV's Where The Heart Is, and is currently the lead in their supernatural drama series, Demons.

Cooke was born on 15 September 1986 in Bradford, West Yorkshire. He began his acting career at the age of 10, but television appearances began in 2006 with guest appearances in Casualty and George Gently. He also appeared in an episode of the BBC's Robin Hood as Luke Scarlett, the younger brother of Will Scarlett.

He also had a role in two episodes of Doctor Who in 2008 as UNIT soldier, Ross Jenkins. The character was killed in The Poison Sky.

In 2009, Christian appeared as the lead character in ITV's Demons, Luke Rutherford. In the same year, he appeared as Dorian Gaudain in the ITV2 drama Trinity.

Philip Heywood Glenister is a British actor, perhaps best known for his role as the tough-talking DCI Gene Hunt in the BBC time-travel series Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes.
