The End Of Time (Doctor Who episode)

"The End Of Time" is a 2009 episode of Doctor Who and one of the final episodes to feature Tenth Doctor, David Tennant. It is said to be a two-part episode that will see Tennant's final scenes as The Doctor before giving up the role to Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith.

This episode sees the return of John Simm as The Master as The Doctor's adversary, and it has been confirmed by Russell T. Davies that Alexandra Moen will return as The Master's wife, Lucy Saxon. It has also been confirmed that Bernard Cribbins will reprise his role as Wilfred Mott, Donna Noble's grandfather, but that he will be listed as a companion. Catherine Tate will return to play Donna Noble and Jacqueline King will return as Donna's mother, Sylvia.

It is rumoured that all of The Doctor's companions will be seen in this episode with the exception of Martha Jones and Mickey Smith.

Plot

The Doctor visits the Ood after being summoned by them at the end of The Waters Of Mars. They reveal that they are collectively having disturbing dreams and when they show them to The Doctor, he recognies The Master. He rushes back to present-day Earthto find Lucy Saxon, The Master's former wife.

Lucy Saxon is in Broadfell Prison and is summoned before the new prison governor. The governor reveals herself as a disciple of Harry Saxon and presents the ring which fell from The Master's hand after his body was burned.

Wilfred Mott is Christmas shopping but is bothered by dreams he's been having but can't remember. Distracted by the singing of a choir, he wanders into a nearby church and notices a small blue box in the scene in a stained glass window. A mysterious woman speaks to him, telling him the history of the window, but disappears.
