“Oh Dear God” were the three words that left my lips when I heard Wagner was singing Spice Up Your Life. I almost punched the laptop when he started his awful version of Living The Vida Loca.
The whole performance is cheese by numbers. Dancing girls, feathered headdresses and Wagner in a white suit. I pity this guy. And do you ever think if Dracula could sing, he’d sound just like Wagner? He’s awful, he’s just awful.
You can blame it on song choice – as Simon tries to do in his comments – but the bottom line is that Wagner is the joke in this year’s [[The X Factor 2010|X Factor]], and the joke stopped being funny about two weeks back. Time for Wagner to leave.
- Louis Walsh: The audience love Wagner. He’s not the best singer in the competition, but he’s definitely entertaining and different.
- Dannii Minogue: I have to say, I think you’ve definitely got the theme of guilty pleasure this week. You embodied it, you embraced it, you performed it, you danced it.
- Cheryl Cole: There was a lot of guilty going on up there. I don’t know if it was a lot of pleasure for me, Simon. I don’t know what to say.
- Simon Cowell: Do you understand how crazy this is, Louis, you criticise my song choice and then you give Wagner the Spice Girls? Let me ask you, are you happy with what Louis’ doing to you? (Wagner says yes, more or less).
